Joze is committed to preserving your privacy. This policy explains how we use and protect any personal information that we collect about you.

Joze acts as the Data Controller for the purpose of Data Protection Law.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When someone registers with Joze we will collect the following data:

  • The name, date of birth, address and phone number
  • Any allergy and/or health details which are relevant to exercise
  • Next of Kin details
  • Email address 

Sensitive personal data

We understand that the data you give us is personal and it will not be shared with any third party without your consent.

Access to Information

The information that Joze holds can be accessed by Jo Sproston, Principal and by IT developers: Alex Mann Consultancy and L33 Website Design and Development Agency.

Cookies

The Joze website uses cookies which are small amounts of information that may be stored on your computer when you visit our website.

Our websites use cookies to distinguish you from other users. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site.

How the information is used

Joze uses your information for general administrative tasks, for example registers, invoicing and emailing about classes and other events.  We also use the information to ensure we can contact next of kin in case of emergency.

Disclosure of information

Joze will not share your information with any third party.

Security and Data Retention

Any paper records kept by Joze, for example dance passes will be held in a locked cupboard when not in use.

Electronic data is held in a Joze Google Drive and in a Umbraco Contact Management System which is located on a secure server. Security measures protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and unlawful processing.

We will retain your information for a period of six years or as long as the law requires. We may also keep some photographic records indefinitely unless explicitly asked by you for them to be removed. 

If any one wishes to have their data removed from our records, please email jo@joze.uk and the information will be removed as soon as possible.

Transparency and Access to your Information

You can ask Joze School of Dance to provide you with a readable copy of any personal data which we keep about you.  Please do this by sending an email to jo@joze.uk

We will aim to respond to your request within 28 days and will do so free of charge. However, we may ask for proof of identity or, if the request is excessive, charge an administrative fee.
